The Integrated Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program, built upon a legacy of excellence, is dedicated to trning the next generation of world-class plastic surgeons. Our program focuses on fostering leadership, innovation and compassionate care that shapes future standards in surgical practices.
Program Overview
Our residents are mentored by leading experts in plastic surgery fields such as trauma injuries, congenital deformities management, and culturally diverse patient populations. The curriculum emphasizes not only technical skills but also personal qualities like professionalism, ethical principles and medical knowledge enhancement through various rotations.
Trning Facilities
The core of our trning experience is provided at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters CHKD, the largest pediatric referral center in coastal Virginia serving northeastern North Carolina. This facility offers comprehensive healthcare services including neonatal and pediatric intensive care units as well as dedicated oral and maxillofacial surgery programs for children.
